Just like you
I'm an ordinary person. I go to work, come home, get anxious sometimes, feel lost sometimes. But I have a habit — sitting in temples for a while. Not to make wishes, just to be there. Listen to the wind chimes, smell the sandalwood, look at the Buddha, and my mind goes quiet. Most people around me don't get it: you're young, why go to a temple? I can't explain it. But I know that feeling is real.
A string of beads
Once, a mala appeared on my wrist. I didn't buy it — it came through a connection. Later I noticed that during anxious meetings, sleepless nights, or impatient moments in line, my hand would unconsciously find those beads, and my mind would slowly settle. Not some magical power — just a kind of comfort. Knowing something is there in your hand makes you feel less panicked.
A discovery
I noticed something: those friends who say "I don't believe in Buddha" — when I hand them an amulet, every single person accepts it. Nobody refuses. They don't believe, but they want to be blessed. It made me think, maybe people all over the world are like this. They don't need to understand any religion or philosophy, but inside they all long to be comforted by something.
So I made this space
One person, one laptop, starting quietly. No business plan, no investors. Just wanting to take the things that moved me — malas, amulets, tea, incense — and pass them along in a simple, beautiful way, to more people's hands. Not rushing to sell. First make content, first make friends. When I truly find good objects, then I'll share them.
What "Yi Yi Ru Shi" means
"Ru Shi" comes from Buddhist sutras. "Ru Shi Wo Wen" — thus have I heard. That's all it means. And "Yi Yi" means each one. "Yi Yi Ru Shi" — every person, every thing, just as it naturally is. Another layer is even simpler: everyone is me. What you're anxious about, I'm anxious about too. What you long for, I long for too. So we don't need to look up or down at each other. Just sit down as equals and have a cup of tea.
