What is Shen Du?

The Doctrine of the Mean states: "The gentleman is cautious about what he does not see, fearful of what he does not hear. Nothing is more visible than the hidden, nothing more manifest than the subtle. Therefore, the gentleman is cautious when alone."

Three Levels of Shen Du
